Joined Phoenix Shanti Group as its Executive Director/CEO in January of 2002. Keith is a founding and current member of both the Phoenix Ryan White Title I Council and the HIV Prevention Planning Group of Arizona. A State Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor, Keith also has years of experience in behavioral health service delivery and administration as well as HIV prevention. Himself HIV+ since 1985, Keith resides in Phoenix with his partner of 20 years.

Hello and welcome to our web site! I relocated to the "Valley of the Sun" from Montana many years ago. I've been involved in the HIV/AIDS prevention and education arena since. I worked for Maricopa County a little over five years before joining the Phoenix Shanti Group in 2002. Please enjoy browsing around our new web site. Hello! I joined the Shanti team as a Behavioral Health Therapist in July 2015. I’m a graduate of Northern Arizona University’s MA in Counseling program and have previous experience working in inpatient and home-based settings.

It’s with heartfelt joy and gratitude that I call Shanti home and share in the person-centered, collaborative treatment environment that our team fosters.

Hello! My name is Lindsay Van Gorder and I joined the Phoenix Shanti Group as of December 2013 as a Behavioral Health Technician. I recently graduated from the University of Phoenix with my Master of Science in Counseling/Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor. I interned with the PSG and enjoyed the experience so much I wanted to come back to assist individuals living with HIV/AIDs and chemical dependency. I have a passion for the recovery process and assisting clients with behavioral health issues.

 

Allison Duquette (MS, LAC)

Hi there!  My name is Allison, I am the newest member of the Phoenix Shanti Group family, and so honored to be here.  I began my journey with PSG as an intern in late 2016 and was hired on as a therapist in January 2018.  It is with immense gratitude that I can be of service to all who walk through our doors.  Having been a Flight Attendant for many years, I made the daunting decision to go back to school in 2014, with the intention of working with HIV+ and LGBTQ+ clients, and graduated with a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University in October 2017.

 

Matthew Lopez (BHT)
Director of Vocational Rehabilitation

Matt Lopez has been employed with Phoenix Shanti since 2004 and heads up Shanti’s Vocational Rehabilitation program. Matt is also the General Manager of Shanti’s 2nd Chances thrift store located in central Phoenix. Matt participates in all forms of Phoenix Shanti fundraising and community networking.

Transitional Housing Coordinator

Michael Stantz here, Phoenix Shanti's Transitional Housing Coordinator. I have been a part of the Shanti team for 7 years and look forward to several more. I work closely with our individuals to navigate housing needs, HIV services, along with HIV education. My personal goal is to help individuals address any barriers which lead to homelessness. Because having a home is important to creating safety and in turn manifests a sense of personal empowerment!

I came to the Phoenix Shanti Group in April 2012, having HIV and being an addict. I had no hope for my future. I went through the program at PSG. With all their love and faith in me, I was able to get my life back in order again. Now, I am so blessed to be able to work for Phoenix Shanti Group as an Operations Assistant. This is forever my home. God Bless them all.

I am Shanti Brother Alumni night as well Lead Truck Drive at Shanti Second Chance Store. I thought the best way to give back, and to inspire others in the program is to be part of their team. The Phoenix Shanti Group has given me my life back. If it wasn’t for this program I wouldn’t be where I am at today and be the best son that a mother can ever have.

Hello! My name is Alex and I have been with Shanti since December 2016. I was born and raised in Arizona. I went to South Mountain Community College and studied business management and psychology. I work in the Vocational Rehabilitation program as the store manager at Shanti Second Chances. I enjoy helping people rebuild their lives and become more successful through Vocational Rehabilitation.

Hello. I am the newest member to the Shanti team. I joined as the Housing Site Manager in September 2017. I am excited about helping people and being apart of the Shanti Community. Looking forward to helping transitional housing clients through their journey here at Shanti.

 

 

 

James Claymon (NCPsyT)
Behavioral Health/Supportive Housing Coordinator

I started with Phoenix Shanti Group in February of 2010. It's with a sense of gratitude and appreciation that I approach my position here. I manage our supportive housing program for homeless HIV+ individuals and families. In this role, I provide a wide array of case management services. Additionally, I provide administrative support for the clinic and am part of the clinics management team.  I also provide Medical Assistant services to our Psychiatric NP. My applicable educational background includes: Nationally Certified Psychiatric Technician and Certified Medical Assistant. I am currently a student at the Boston University School of Social Work with a specialization in Medical Case Management.
