Phoenix Shanti Group is dedicated to providing services to diverse populations with a focus on cultural competence through the application of culturally and linguistically appropriate services. We have an on-going assessment process that addresses key areas of focus in implementing and refining our cultural competency strategy program.

This strategy includes, but is not limited to:

  • On-going leadership and staff training, both through internal staff development, as well as outside resources. These resources include attending local/regional conferences and training workshops.
  • Offering language assistance to individuals who have limited English proficiency and/or other communication needs, at no cost to them, to facilitate timely access to all health care and services.
  • Establishing culturally and linguistically appropriate goals, policies, and management accountability, and infusing them throughout our organizations planning and operations.
  • Conducting ongoing assessments of our organizations culturally and linguistically appropriate services to measure outcomes and seek continuous quality improvement activities.
